10.2 Battle Of The Brains

7 Highly successful people battle one another over the human property, intelligence. They were submitted to different intelligence tests, the winner needs to be creative and highly practical. The tests change the view of the audience as to who is intelligent as well as who is not.

The IQ test was their first, It was believed that the IQ specialist Nathan would win however Quantum Physicist Seth Lloyd did. According to Howard Gardner the IQ Test looks at old knowledge but not weather or not a person is highly productive in the world.

The newest tests were used to measure IQ and achieve different results, the first was Practical Intelligence. Stella came closest but Nathan passed it. Researcher Robert Sternberg believes that creative and practical problem solving are a part of intelligence. I t is an important part of intelligence for everyone.

The second test they were given was the Creative Intelligence test used by psychologists the who feel that creative people would think up the most uses for a sock, Seth Lloyd had the highest number of uses for a sock. Geneticist Robert Plomin is convinced that Genes of intelligence are inheritable and play a role.

The second Creative Intelligence test is visual and they had to create picture named the creative process in 10 minutes. They are tested to see whether they can create something under time pressure. Creativity is something we all get to realise instinctively. The winner is Bonnie the Dramatist, she reckons she cannot paint but her creative instincts shown through.

Sir Rexel’s research suggests that high IQ brains are different from ordinary brains. The next test they took the Emotional Intelligence test. They are assessing how well these 7 individuals can read other people & how well they can recognise their own emotions. One of the several Professors Jack Mayor. Emotional Intelligence was looked down upon. Even though philosophers have been systematizing it over a number of decades no one recognized its importance.

Jack Mayor assume that we can gage emotional reactions from images, some of us are better at identifying faces than others. After the test the intelligent 7 individuals received their results. Surprising none of them achieved above average, even Bonnie.

High E IQ people avoid problem relationships, less likely to get into fights or arguments with other people, likely to have objects of attachment around the house, highly connected people. High E IQ people are able to track social situations as they move and change, while low E IQ people get surprised at what other people do. Garry won this test.

Professor Gardner is convinced we have 8 separate intelligences, opposite to the IQ which assumes that we have one intelligence. Bodily intelligence was the next test. The 7 intelligent individuals must move the plate setting from one table to another, pour a glass of water, then bounce a basketball into the hoop in time. They were all methodical but slow. Chess Grand Master Susan and Artist Stella won this one.

Our IQ Tests can predict our health & life expectancy. High IQ in childhood is good for survival.

The results of the final score were surprising, third place was taken by Pilot Garry and Musical Prodigy Alex, in second place is IQ Specialist Nathan, and in first place it’s a tie between Quantum Physisist Seth Lloyd and Dramatist Bonnie.
